Brooklyn is too big for one list of football bars. A room that is perfect in Bushwick is a forty minute trip from Park Slope, and a bar that is lovely at 1:00 PM ET may be locked before Sunday Night Football reaches the third quarter. So this guide to where to watch NFL football in Brooklyn is sorted by neighborhood first and by kickoff window second, and it only repeats what each bar says about itself on its own website.

Our own room, the Park Slope sports bar at 148 5th Avenue, is on the list, and the tables are blunt about where it stops being the right answer. This page is the Brooklyn part of the citywide guide to where to watch NFL football in New York. If you already know you will be in our neighborhood, the window by window detail is in where to watch NFL football in Park Slope.

Short answer

To watch NFL football in Brooklyn on a Sunday afternoon with a full meal, The Beer Garage at 148 5th Avenue in Park Slope opens at 1:00 PM ET and runs a 100 per cent gluten-free kitchen. For primetime finishes, McMahon’s Public House and The Commissioner in Park Slope publish a 2:00 AM Sunday close, and Clara’s in Bushwick publishes 14 TVs, a projector and a 4:00 AM close. Kilo Bravo in Williamsburg advertises Football Sunday with beer and wings.

The gluten-free part, scoped

One Beer Garage kitchen is gluten-free from end to end, and it is the Brooklyn one. At 148 5th Avenue in Park Slope the menu header says 100 per cent gluten-free, which covers everything that leaves the pass: wings, nachos, burgers, pizzas. The taps are a different matter, since beer is mostly brewed from gluten grains, and so is our West Village room, which cooks in an ordinary kitchen. If you have celiac disease, tell the staff what you need and make your own call. None of this is medical advice.

The short version

Seven Brooklyn bars say something concrete about football on their own websites, and they cluster in three places: 5th Avenue in Park Slope, the L train corridor through Williamsburg and Bushwick, and Atlantic Center beside Barclays Center. Where you watch NFL football in Brooklyn is mostly a question of which of those three you can reach, and then whether the room is still open when your game ends.

The stance, in one line each

Sunday 1:00 PM and 4:25 PM ET, with food: The Beer Garage in Park Slope, because the whole kitchen is gluten-free and there are nine hours of opening ahead of you. A specific out-of-market game: The Dram Shop in Park Slope, the one bar here that lists NFL Sunday Ticket on its own site, or Clara’s in Bushwick and The LayUp Bar, which publish screen counts; we publish neither. Sunday, Monday or Thursday night: not us. We close at 10:00 PM ET, about halftime, so go to McMahon’s Public House, The Commissioner or Clara’s. A 9:30 AM ET London game: no bar here publishes an opening that early; Dave and Buster’s at Atlantic Center opens at 10:00 AM on Sundays, and McMahon’s Public House and The Dram Shop at 11:00 AM, in time for the second half.

The NFL kickoff windows, in Eastern Time

The NFL runs five recurring kickoff windows in a normal week, plus a 9:30 AM ET window on the Sundays it plays in London. Kickoff times below are from the league’s own 2026 weekly schedule pages, read on September 18, 2026. The last column is arithmetic: the gap between kickoff and our published Park Slope closing time, nothing more.

Sunday Night Football 8:20 PM 1:00 PM 10:00 PM 100, about halftime
Monday Night Football 8:15 PM 3:00 PM 10:00 PM 105, about halftime
Thursday Night Football 8:15 PM 3:00 PM 10:00 PM 105, about halftime

Two rows are ours and four are not. That is the reason this page spends most of its length on other people’s bars.

Where to watch NFL football in Brooklyn, by neighborhood

The table below is built only from what each venue publishes about itself. “Not published” means the bar’s own site does not say, not that the answer is no. Our row is highlighted because it is ours, not because it ranks first.

Dave and Buster’s Downtown Brooklyn, Atlantic Center 625 Atlantic Ave Deals “every Sunday, Monday, and Thursday”; huge HD TVs throughout No number 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM

Two bars that appear in our guide to where to watch UFC in Brooklyn also mention football on their own sites. SET Lounge and Billiards in Brighton Beach says its 20 HD TVs broadcast the NFL with full sound and talks up a Sunday football lineup. Dive Bar BK in Bushwick has promoted NFL Sundays on its site, although its current events list shows only UFC and boxing. Call either one to check that your game is on.

Neighborhood notes

Park Slope and the Barclays Center end of 5th Avenue

Park Slope has the densest run of football bars in the borough: five rooms on or near 5th Avenue that between them cover every kickoff window. McMahon’s Public House and The LayUp Bar are three minutes on foot from the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station, The Beer Garage is nine, The Commissioner fifteen and The Dram Shop twenty seven, all measured in Google Maps walking mode on September 14 and 16, 2026. If you watch NFL football in Brooklyn and arrive by subway from Manhattan, this is the easiest cluster to reach, because nine lines stop at that station.

The Beer Garage, 148 5th Avenue, entrance on Douglass Street. A converted garage with the door rolled up in decent weather, rotating local craft beer, and the only kitchen on this page that is 100 per cent gluten-free. Sunday 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM ET, Monday to Thursday 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM ET.

  • Best for the Sunday 1:00 PM ET and 4:25 PM ET windows with a proper meal, and any table where someone cannot eat gluten.
  • Skip if your game kicks off at 8:15 PM ET or later. We close at 10:00 PM ET and would be asking you to settle up around halftime.
  • Possible downside we have never published a screen count or a sound policy. If your Sunday depends on one specific out-of-market game, call 718-576-3409 and ask what is on before you travel.

McMahon’s Public House, 39 5th Avenue. Its own site publishes daily hours of 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM, lists “NFL Sunday” as an event, and offers an upstairs lounge with a full bar and two outdoor patios.

  • Best for a primetime finish, a big group, and being seated well before a 1:00 PM ET kickoff.
  • Skip if you need a gluten-free kitchen or a published screen count; its site offers neither.

The LayUp Bar, 47 5th Avenue. Nine screens with the sound on for every major game, per its own site. Monday to Saturday 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Sunday 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

  • Best for the out-of-market game you actually care about.
  • Skip if you want a seat before 4:00 PM on a Saturday, or a game that runs past midnight.

The Commissioner and The Dram Shop are covered in more depth, with scores, in which is the best sports bar in Park Slope.

Williamsburg and Bushwick, along the L train

North Brooklyn is where the published screen counts are. Clara’s at 53 Wilson Avenue in Bushwick states 14 TVs and a projector, lists the NFL first among the leagues it shows, and publishes hours of 3:00 PM to 4:00 AM Monday to Friday and 12:00 PM to 4:00 AM on weekends. That 4:00 AM close is the latest on this page, which makes it the safest Brooklyn room for a Monday or Thursday night game. Its nearest station is Jefferson St on the L.

Kilo Bravo at 180 North 10th Street in Williamsburg says it regularly shows NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and NCAA games on three large TVs and advertises “Football Sunday with beer & wings”. Its contact page lists noon to 2:00 AM every day, which covers a 1:00 PM ET kickoff. Its nearest station is Bedford Av on the L.

Clara’s, 53 Wilson Avenue, Bushwick. 14 TVs and a projector, wings it calls the best in Bushwick, and a 4:00 AM close every night.

  • Best for primetime games, multi-game Sunday afternoons, and anyone who lives on the L.
  • Skip if you need to be seated for a 1:00 PM ET kickoff on a weekday holiday game; weekday doors open at 3:00 PM.

Downtown Brooklyn, at Atlantic Center

Dave and Buster’s at Atlantic Center, across from Barclays Center, advertises deals “every Sunday, Monday, and Thursday” and “huge HD TVs placed throughout”, and it takes party bookings, which almost no neighborhood bar does. Its location page, reread on September 25, 2026, lists 625 Atlantic Avenue and hours of 10:00 AM to midnight on Sundays, 11:00 AM to midnight on Mondays and Tuesdays, and 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM Wednesday to Friday.

South Brooklyn

In Brighton Beach, SET Lounge and Billiards at 3200 Coney Island Avenue says on its own site that its 20 HD TVs broadcast the NFL with full sound. We could not find a bar in Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst or Sheepshead Bay that names the NFL on its own website. That does not mean none of them show it, so telephone first.

The 9:30 AM ET London games

On Sunday, October 11 and Sunday, October 18, the NFL plays in London with a 9:30 AM ET kickoff: Eagles at Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, then Texans at Jaguars at Wembley Stadium, per the league’s schedule pages and the host teams’ own sites. Steelers at Saints in Saint-Denis on October 25 and Bengals at Falcons in Madrid on November 8 also kick off at 9:30 AM ET, per the league’s schedule pages. Almost no Brooklyn bar publishes hours that early, and none on this page does. Dave and Buster’s at Atlantic Center opens at 10:00 AM on Sundays, half an hour after kickoff, and McMahon’s Public House and The Dram Shop at 339 9th Street open at 11:00 AM, in time for the second half. We open at 1:00 PM ET, after the final whistle.

Sunday football with food: the Park Slope kitchen

If the plan is to watch NFL football in Brooklyn over an actual meal rather than a bowl of pretzels, this is the part of the page where we stop being modest. The whole Park Slope kitchen is gluten-free, which mostly means nobody at the table has to ask. Prices below are from the posted Park Slope menu and are correct as of September 2026.

What to eat while you watch NFL football in Brooklyn at The Beer Garage Park Slope, from the posted Park Slope menu, as of September 2026. The entire Park Slope kitchen is gluten-free. USD, tax and tip not included.
Item Price Good for
Our Famous Garage Wings $14 Three sauces; order them before kickoff
Beer Garage Sampler Platter $36 A four person table sorted in one order
Chicken Nachos $21 Built for sharing; lasts about a quarter
Fried Pickles $13 Halftime, and again in the fourth
BG’s Famous Burger $24 A full meal for one, fries included
Bacon Mac ‘n Cheese $20 The 4:25 PM ET order once the weather turns
Personal Pizza, Margherita $20 Personal sized, so order one each

We do not print a tap list because it changes too often; the board behind the bar is the list. Keep in mind that the gluten-free promise covers the kitchen only. Most of what comes out of the taps is brewed with gluten grains, so ask the bartender what suits you. The full kitchen story is in sports bar with fully gluten-free food in Brooklyn.

21 and over with valid ID

You must be 21 or over, with valid ID, to be served alcohol in New York; the New York State Liquor Authority sets that rule, not us. Drink responsibly and sort out your way home before the game starts, not at the final whistle.

The best bar to watch Sunday NFL games with food in Brooklyn

If the Sunday plan is the early game, the late game and a proper meal in between, the kitchen matters more than the screen count. Ours opens with the doors at 1:00 PM on Sundays and stays open until we close at 10:00 PM, which covers both afternoon windows from kickoff to the final whistle.

Beyond the wings and nachos in the table above, the Park Slope menu goes further than most sports bars: fresh clams or oysters at $4 each with a minimum of six, shrimp cocktail at $17, and escargot with parsley butter, garlic and baguette at $18. The menu header says 100 per cent gluten-free, and that includes the baguette.

The Sunday night game is where we step aside. We close at 10:00 PM, so for a primetime finish McMahon’s Public House and The Commissioner, both in Park Slope, publish a 2:00 AM close on Sundays.

Which Brooklyn bar for your game?

Two questions and sixteen possible answers, and most of them send you somewhere other than here. Every answer is already written in the tables above.

1. Which kickoff are you watching?

Use the neighborhood table above: The Beer Garage covers the Sunday 1:00 PM ET and 4:25 PM ET windows in Park Slope, and McMahon’s Public House, The Commissioner and Clara’s cover the primetime finishes.

How we know this

How we know this

Every kickoff time on this page about where to watch NFL football in Brooklyn comes from the NFL’s own weekly schedule pages for Weeks 5, 6, 7 and 9 of the 2026 regular season, read on October 6, 2026, in Eastern Time. We did not use the schedule panel that search engines display, since it converts times to wherever the reader happens to be.

Every bar’s hours, screen count and football wording come from that bar’s own website. Clara’s, Kilo Bravo, McMahon’s Public House, The LayUp Bar, SET Lounge, Dive Bar BK and Dave and Buster’s were read on September 18, 2026 and reread on September 25, 2026, with The Commissioner and The Dram Shop. The reread corrected The Dram Shop’s hours and screen count, The Commissioner’s TV line (a customer review, not the bar’s words), Dave and Buster’s hours, and what SET Lounge and Dive Bar BK say about football. No competitor was visited for this page and no rating of ours is implied. Where a site says nothing, the table says “Not published”.

The Park Slope walks were measured in Google Maps walking mode on September 14 and 16, 2026. Walks in Williamsburg and Bushwick were not measured; the nearest stations are from the MTA subway map. Where this page gives minutes between a kickoff and our closing time, that figure is simple subtraction of one published time from another. We make no statement about the length of a game.

Is the food gluten-free at the Park Slope location?

Yes, all of it. McMahon’s Public House and The Commissioner run to 2:00 AM on Sundays, Clara’s in Bushwick runs to 4:00 AM with 14 TVs and a projector, and The Dram Shop is the one that lists NFL Sunday Ticket on its own site. Pick the neighborhood, then the kickoff, then the bar.

Wrote this page about where to watch NFL football in Brooklyn the boring way: pulled three weeks of kickoff times off the league schedule in Eastern Time, read what seven Brooklyn bars publish about football on their own sites, and set both against our own closing time. The uncomfortable answer, that our Park Slope room closes before every primetime game ends, is the reason the page exists.
