Neither New York team plays in New York
The Giants and the Jets both play their home games at One MetLife Stadium Drive, East Rutherford, New Jersey. So in this city, watching football means finding a room, and the room that works depends on your kickoff time and your borough. Here is the map, with published hours and nothing invented.
- Two rooms, Brooklyn and Manhattan
- 5 straight Giants and Jets games at 1:00 PM ET, Weeks 7 to 9
- 100 per cent gluten-free kitchen in Park Slope
- Heated backyard garden in the West Village
Search for where to watch NFL football in New York and you get ranked lists of thirty bars, none of which tell you the one thing that decides your afternoon: whether the room is open from your kickoff to your final whistle. This page is the opposite. It starts from the league’s own schedule, sets it against published opening and closing times, and says plainly which of our two rooms fits which window. The neighborhood detail lives on the two pages this one links down to, Park Slope and the West Village. For team-by-team fan bars across Manhattan, see where to watch NFL football in Manhattan.
The short version
Short answer. To watch NFL football in New York you pick by kickoff window, not by ranking. Every Giants and Jets game from Week 7 through Week 9 starts at 1:00 PM ET, and both Beer Garage rooms cover that window. Park Slope in Brooklyn closes at 10:00 PM ET, the West Village at 11:00 PM ET, so neither reaches a Sunday night finish.
That is where to watch NFL football in New York, in four sentences. The rest is the arithmetic behind it, plus the one structural fact about this city that every ranked list leaves out: there is no NFL stadium in New York, so the bar is not a consolation prize here, it is the venue.
The number that decides your afternoon. An NFL game runs a little over three hours from kickoff to final whistle in a normal week. Take a bar’s published closing time, subtract the kickoff, and you know whether you are watching the fourth quarter or watching the lights come on. Every table below does that subtraction, in Eastern Time, with the source and the date it was read.
The city with two teams and no stadium
New York is the only American city with two NFL teams and no NFL stadium inside it. MetLife Stadium publishes its own address as One MetLife Stadium Drive, East Rutherford, NJ 07073, and describes itself as home to the New York Jets and the New York Football Giants, seating 82,500 for football. That is across the Hudson River, in another state.
The practical consequence is the whole reason a page about where to watch NFL football in New York is worth writing. On any given Sunday, almost everyone who follows either New York team is watching in a room somewhere in the five boroughs rather than in the stands. The city has a very large number of bars showing football and almost no published information about which of them is open when your specific game ends.

Where to watch NFL football in New York, window by window
Here are the league’s recurring kickoff windows set against the published closing times of both Beer Garage rooms. The West Village column carries two figures because Google and our own website footer have not agreed for some time, and both are printed rather than one being quietly picked.
| NFL window | Kickoff ET | Park Slope closes | West Village closes | Covered end to end? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sunday early | 1:00 PM | 10:00 PM | 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM | Both rooms, comfortably |
| Sunday late | 4:05 or 4:25 PM | 10:00 PM | 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM | Both rooms |
| Sunday night | 8:20 PM | 10:00 PM | 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM | Neither room |
| Monday night | 8:15 PM | 10:00 PM | 11:00 PM or 12:00 AM | West Village only, and only on the Google hours |
| Thursday night | 8:15 PM | 10:00 PM | 11:00 PM or 12:00 AM | West Village only, and only on the Google hours |
| Sunday from Europe | 9:30 AM | opens 1:00 PM | opens 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM | Neither room is open yet |
Two of the six rows are ours and four are not, which is an uncomfortable ratio to publish and an accurate one. If you want to watch NFL football in New York from the opening drive to the handshake, our two rooms own the daylight and lose the night. The West Village is the later of the two by an hour on its own website and by two hours on Google, which is why the Monday and Thursday row says to call before you commit.
Giants and Jets, Weeks 7 to 9
This is the happiest table on the page for anyone who follows either New York team. Every single Giants and Jets game from Week 7 through Week 9 kicks off at 1:00 PM ET on a Sunday, which is the one window both of our rooms cover completely.
| Week | Date | Giants | Jets | Kickoff ET | Networks |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 7 | Sunday, October 25 | Giants at Texans | Dolphins at Jets | 1:00 PM | FOX and CBS |
| 8 | Sunday, November 1 | Bye week | Raiders at Jets | 1:00 PM | FOX |
| 9 | Sunday, November 8 | Giants at Eagles | Jets at Chiefs | 1:00 PM | FOX and CBS |
Five local-team games in Weeks 7 to 9, every one of them in the 1:00 PM ET window, with the Giants on bye in Week 8. From October 25 through November 8 the answer to where to watch NFL football in New York barely depends on the schedule at all. If your football year is built around the Giants or the Jets rather than around the national night games, any room in this city that opens by one o’clock works.
The 9:30 AM ET problem
Two of the three Sundays from October 25 to November 8 open with a game from Europe at 9:30 AM ET: Steelers at Saints in Saint-Denis on October 25 and Bengals at Falcons in Madrid on November 8, each on NFL Network per the host team’s own schedule page. No bar named on this page is open at 9:30 AM ET.
The earliest published opening in this set belongs to Beckett’s Sports Bar in the Financial District at 10:30 AM every day, which is still an hour after kickoff, and Google’s listing for Legends at 6 West 33rd Street shows a 10:00 AM opening. Both Beer Garage rooms open at noon or later. If you want to watch NFL football in New York at a European kickoff time, you are watching the first half at home. That is not a satisfying answer, but it is the true one, and no ranked list of the city’s best sports bars will tell you.
Bars to watch NFL football in New York that publish a screen count
Most bars that let you watch NFL football in New York will tell you they show every game. Very few publish a number. These are the rooms across Brooklyn and Manhattan that put an actual figure on their own website, listed with the published hours that matter more.
| Bar | Borough | Screens published | Published hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beckett’s Sports Bar, 81 Pearl St | Manhattan | More than 20 screens on two floors, plus outdoor TVs with sound | Sun to Wed 10:30 AM to 12:00 AM; Thu to Sat 10:30 AM to 2:00 AM |
| DB Cooper’s, 506 9th Ave | Manhattan | 14 TVs and a house jumbotron | Sun to Thu 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM; Fri and Sat 11:00 AM to 3:00 AM |
| Triona’s West, 237 Sullivan St | Manhattan | 14 HDTVs | Sun 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM; Mon 3:00 PM to 2:00 AM; Thu 2:00 PM to 3:00 AM |
| The LayUp Bar, 47 5th Ave | Brooklyn | Nine screens with the sound on | Mon to Fri 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM; Sat and Sun 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM (read October 13, 2026) |
| Houston Hall, 222 W Houston St | Manhattan | Four 12-foot screens, per its Sports Headquarters page | Closed Monday; Tue 4:00 to 10:00 PM; Wed and Thu 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM; Fri 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM; Sat 11:30 AM to 2:00 AM; Sun 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM |
| McMahon’s Public House, 39 5th Ave | Brooklyn | Not published | Daily 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM |
| The Beer Garage Park Slope, 148 5th Ave | Brooklyn | Not published | Mon to Thu 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM; Sun 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM |
| The Beer Garage West Village, 118 Christopher St | Manhattan | Not published | Google 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM Mon to Thu; website 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM |
Of the eight rooms in that table, five publish something countable about screens and neither of ours does. That is a real gap on our side and it is stated here rather than papered over. If a published screen count is the thing you are choosing on, Beckett’s in the Financial District publishes the biggest number in this set and you should go there.

Park Slope or the West Village
If you have decided to watch NFL football in New York with us, this is the only comparison that matters, and it is the one question this page exists to settle. The two rooms are genuinely different, not one page with the neighborhood swapped.
| Park Slope, Brooklyn | West Village, Manhattan | |
|---|---|---|
| Address | 148 5th Avenue, entrance on Douglass Street | 118 Christopher Street |
| Nearest train | Union St on the R, Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr | Christopher St-Stonewall on the 1, three minutes |
| Kitchen | 100 per cent gluten-free | Standard kitchen, not gluten-free |
| Sunday close | 10:00 PM | 10:00 PM on Google, 11:00 PM on the website |
| Outdoor space | Sidewalk seating at the garage front | Heated backyard garden |
| Walk to an arena | Barclays Center, nine minutes | No arena nearby |
| Wings | $14 | $14 |
| Burger | $24 | $18 |
Go to Park Slope if you need a gluten-free kitchen, you are coming from a Barclays Center event, or you want the original converted-garage room. Go to the West Village if your game runs late, you want to sit outside under the heaters in October, or you are coming off the 1 train. Possible downside, both rooms: neither is a barn, both fill on a big Sunday, neither publishes a screen count, and neither is open when a Sunday night game ends.

Gluten-free: the Park Slope kitchen, not the West Village
This is the one thing on the page that is worth getting exactly right, because getting it wrong ruins somebody’s day out.
Location notice. The 100 per cent gluten-free kitchen is the Park Slope location in Brooklyn, at 148 5th Avenue. The kitchen at the West Village location, 118 Christopher Street, is a standard kitchen, and its menu does not mark any dish as gluten-free. If you need a gluten-free kitchen for a game, go to Park Slope in Brooklyn, not to Christopher Street.
The United States Food and Drug Administration defines gluten-free as under 20 parts per million in 21 CFR 101.91, and that rule is about food rather than about a room, which is why this page names the Park Slope address every time. Beer is a separate question again: most beer contains gluten wherever in New York you drink it, including at the Park Slope bar whose food program is gluten-free. This page is not medical advice. If you have celiac disease, ask the staff directly and use your own judgment.
What the same order costs in each room
What it costs to watch NFL football in New York depends on the room. The two menus are not the same menu, so here are the dishes that appear on both, with what each room charges as of September 2026.
| Order | Park Slope | West Village | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Garage wings, one pound | $14 | $14 | Same |
| The burger | $24 | $18 | $6 cheaper in Manhattan |
| Loaded nachos | $21 | $17 | $4 cheaper in Manhattan |
| Fried pickles | $13 | $14 | $1 cheaper in Brooklyn |
| Oysters, each, minimum six | $4 | $3 | $1 cheaper in Manhattan |
The burger gap is the honest headline there. The Park Slope burger costs $6 more than the West Village one, and the reason is the kitchen: everything that comes out of the Brooklyn room is gluten-free, including the bun. Whether that is worth six dollars is entirely your call, and it is a real difference rather than a rounding error.
Where should you watch NFL football in New York on game day?
Two questions and sixteen answers for where to watch NFL football in New York. Several of them send you to a competitor, and the gluten-free path always sends you to Brooklyn.
1. Which kickoff are you watching?
2. What matters most?
Park Slope, 148 5th Avenue, Brooklyn. The 100 per cent gluten-free kitchen is the Brooklyn room and only the Brooklyn room. It opens at 1:00 PM ET on Sundays, which is kickoff, so come at one rather than before.
Either room works. A 1:00 PM ET game ends around 4:00 PM ET, which is six hours inside every published closing time we have. This is the window both rooms own.
Beckett’s Sports Bar, 81 Pearl Street. More than twenty screens on two floors published on its own site, and open from 10:30 AM ET. We publish no screen count, so on that criterion we are not the answer.
The West Village, 118 Christopher Street. Three minutes from the 1 train at Christopher St-Stonewall and open for a 1:00 PM ET kickoff on both of its published sources.
Park Slope, 148 5th Avenue, Brooklyn. A 4:25 PM ET kickoff ends around 7:30 PM ET, well inside the 10:00 PM ET close, and the gluten-free kitchen in Park Slope is open the whole way.
Either room works. The late Sunday window is the second one both rooms cover end to end. Park Slope has about five and a half hours of room after a 4:25 PM ET kickoff.
DB Cooper’s, 506 9th Avenue, or Triona’s West, 237 Sullivan Street. Both publish fourteen screens on their own sites and both are open through the late Sunday window.
The West Village, 118 Christopher Street. Open through the whole late window on both published sources, with the heated garden out back if the room is full.
Eat in Park Slope first, then move. The gluten-free kitchen is in Brooklyn and it closes at 10:00 PM ET, so a night game does not finish there. Eat at 7:00 PM ET, then walk three minutes to McMahon’s Public House at 39 5th Avenue, which publishes a 2:00 AM close. Ask them what is safe for you, because their kitchen is not ours.
Not us, honestly. Park Slope closes at 10:00 PM ET and the West Village at 11:00 PM ET on its own website. For a night finish go to McMahon’s Public House in Brooklyn, published to 2:00 AM, or Down the Hatch at 179 West 4th Street in Manhattan, published to 4:00 AM.
Beckett’s Sports Bar, 81 Pearl Street. More than twenty screens published, open to 12:00 AM Sunday to Wednesday and 2:00 AM Thursday to Saturday, which covers a night game to the whistle.
The West Village if you start early, somewhere else to finish. Google has us open to midnight on a Monday or Thursday and our own website says 11:00 PM ET. Call 646-490-4301 first, or plan on moving five minutes to The Village Tavern at 46 Bedford Street for the fourth quarter.
Nobody, including us. A 9:30 AM ET kickoff from London or Paris starts before every room on this page opens. Watch the first half at home, then come to Park Slope at 1:00 PM ET for the gluten-free kitchen and the American window.
Watch it at home. The earliest published opening in this set is Beckett’s at 10:30 AM ET, an hour after a European kickoff. There is no room in this set that has the whole game on.
Beckett’s Sports Bar, 81 Pearl Street. It publishes the biggest screen count here and the earliest opening at 10:30 AM ET, so it is the closest thing to an answer, but you will still miss the first quarter.
Beckett’s at 10:30 AM ET, or Legends at 6 West 33rd Street. Google shows Legends opening at 10:00 AM. Neither is open at 9:30 AM ET, so the first quarter happens without you either way.
The same answers are in the tables under Kickoff windows against both our rooms and Which New York bars publish a screen count.
Coming for the 1:00 PM ET window?
Park Slope: 148 5th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217, entrance on Douglass Street. West Village: 118 Christopher Street, New York, NY 10014.

How we know this
Every figure on this page about where to watch NFL football in New York came from a primary source, and the ones that could not be verified were left out rather than guessed.
Kickoff times were read off the NFL’s official by-week schedule pages for Weeks 7 through 9 of the 2026 season on October 20, 2026, in Eastern Time, and networks off the Giants’ and Jets’ own schedule pages on September 28, 2026, checked again on October 19, 2026. That distinction matters more than it sounds: search panels render kickoff times in the reader’s own timezone, which is how a Sunday afternoon game can look like a Monday game to somebody reading from outside the United States. The stadium address and the two team names came from MetLife Stadium’s own site.
Competitor hours and screen counts come from each venue’s own website, read on September 16, 2026. Two figures are marked as coming from a Google listing rather than a website, because that is where they appear. Review sites and best-of roundups were used only to find which bars exist, then dropped. Of the eight rooms compared, five publish something countable about screens and two of the eight are ours, neither of which publishes anything.
Our own hours are printed from two sources for the West Village because those two sources disagree, and our menu prices come from the posted menus as of September 2026.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the best place to watch a football game in New York City?
There is no single best room, and any page that names one is guessing. Pick by kickoff window: a 1:00 PM ET game works almost anywhere, while a Sunday night game needs a bar that publishes a late close. Beckett’s in the Financial District publishes more than twenty screens; both Beer Garage rooms publish a full kitchen and close earlier.
What is the best place to watch the NFL?
The one that is open from your kickoff to your final whistle and shows your game. In practice that means checking two numbers before you leave: the league’s kickoff time in Eastern Time and the bar’s published closing time. Everything else, screens, food, the room itself, only matters once those two line up.
Where is the best place to watch NFL games in NYC?
It depends on your borough and your window. In Brooklyn, McMahon’s Public House publishes a 2:00 AM close and The LayUp Bar publishes nine screens with sound. In Manhattan, Beckett’s publishes more than twenty screens from 10:30 AM. The Beer Garage rooms in Park Slope and the West Village cover both Sunday afternoon windows.
Where can I watch all NFL games?
No bar on this page states NFL Sunday Ticket in words on its own website. McMahon’s Public House uses a Sunday Ticket graphic on its NFL Sunday event card, which is a hint rather than a promise, so this page does not make the claim on anyone’s behalf. If you need every out-of-market game, call the bar and ask about your specific matchup before you travel. The league’s own Ways to Watch page lists the broadcast and streaming options at home.
Do the Giants and Jets play in New York?
No. MetLife Stadium publishes its address as One MetLife Stadium Drive, East Rutherford, NJ 07073, and lists both the New York Jets and the New York Football Giants as home teams. Both New York franchises play their home games in New Jersey, which is why so much of this city’s football happens in bars.
Which Beer Garage should I go to for a game?
Park Slope in Brooklyn if you need the 100 per cent gluten-free kitchen or you are coming from Barclays Center. The West Village in Manhattan if your game runs late, you want the heated backyard garden, or you are on the 1 train. Both cover the 1:00 PM and 4:25 PM ET Sunday windows and neither covers a Sunday night finish.
Final verdict
From Week 7 through Week 9, October 25 to November 8, the schedule makes this easy. Every Giants and Jets game kicks off at 1:00 PM ET, both of our rooms are open for all of it, and the only real decision is Brooklyn or Manhattan. Take Park Slope for the gluten-free kitchen and the Barclays walk, take the West Village for the later close and the heated garden.
For a Sunday night game, we are not the place to watch NFL football in New York and this page is not going to pretend otherwise. Go where the published closing time says you can stay. That is the whole method: the league publishes a kickoff, the bar publishes a close, and the difference between them is the only ranking that has ever mattered for where to watch NFL football in New York.
