Game Day · Brooklyn · Updated October 2026
Brooklyn has the arena. The bars are on you.
Where to watch NBA in Brooklyn is not a list the Nets hand out; unlike the Knicks, the Rangers and the Islanders, they publish no bar program. So we read Brooklyn bars’ own websites, put the Nets’ first month in Eastern Time, and did the arithmetic against our own closing time in Park Slope.
- Nets opened October 21; next at Barclays October 25
- No official Nets bar list
- Every early Nets game on YES Network
- Park Slope: 8 minutes on foot from Barclays Center
- Park Slope kitchen: 100 per cent gluten-free
Barclays Center sits at the corner of Flatbush and Atlantic, and on a Nets night the blocks of 5th Avenue just south of it fill up with people who have tickets and people who do not. This page is for the second group, and for road games, when every Brooklyn fan is watching on a bar screen.
Our search for where to watch NBA in Brooklyn found no official Nets bar list at all, one Brooklyn bar on the Knicks’ list, and a handful of bars that say in their own words that they show basketball. Those are below, with hours, walks from our Park Slope door, and a straight answer on which Nets games fit inside our kitchen’s night. If you are going to the game itself, our guide to bars near Barclays Center for a Nets game covers doors, walks and timing.
To watch NBA in Brooklyn, start at the arena end of 5th Avenue: The LayUp Bar at 47 5th Avenue lists Nets and Knicks events on its site, and Uncle Barry’s at 58 5th Avenue shows NBA games on several TVs and a projector. The Dram Shop in Park Slope and Rounders in Greenpoint also name the NBA. The Beer Garage in Park Slope, eight minutes from Barclays Center, has a 100 per cent gluten-free kitchen.
Our Park Slope room at 148 5th Avenue runs a kitchen with no gluten in it: the menu header says 100 per cent gluten-free, which covers the wings, the burger and the nachos. That is the Brooklyn room on this page; our West Village room in Manhattan is a standard kitchen. Beer is different, since most of it is brewed with barley, so ask at the bar. We have not checked the kitchens of the other Brooklyn bars below, and if you have celiac disease, the staff and your own judgment come before anything we write here.
The Nets’ first month, in Eastern Time
The Nets opened their regular season at home on Wednesday, October 21, the night after the league opener, and lost 110-103 to the Charlotte Hornets. Three of their next eleven games are at Barclays Center. Tip-off times and channels come from the NBA’s official schedule data, read on September 22, 2026, rechecked on October 22, 2026, and converted from UTC to Eastern Time. The last column is the minutes between tip-off and our Park Slope closing time that night, per our website footer; an NBA game usually runs a little over two hours.
| Date | Game | Tip-off | Local TV | Minutes before our Park Slope room closes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sat, Oct 24 | Nets at Cavaliers | 7:30 PM | YES Network | 210 |
| Sun, Oct 25 | Pacers at Nets | 6:00 PM | YES Network | 240 |
| Tue, Oct 27 | Nets at Celtics | 7:30 PM | YES Network | 150 |
| Fri, Oct 30 | Pistons at Nets, NBA Cup | 7:30 PM | YES Network | 210 |
| Sun, Nov 1 | Nets at Pacers | 5:00 PM | YES Network | 300 |
| Mon, Nov 2 | Nets at Knicks | 7:30 PM | YES Network | 150 |
| Wed, Nov 4 | Hornets at Nets | 7:30 PM | YES Network | 150 |
| Sat, Nov 7 | Nets at Hawks | 7:30 PM | YES Network | 210 |
| Sun, Nov 8 | Nets at Mavericks | 7:30 PM | YES Network | 150 |
| Wed, Nov 11 | Nets at Pelicans | 8:00 PM | YES Network | 120, too tight for the fourth quarter |
| Sat, Nov 14 | Nets at Grizzlies | 8:00 PM | YES Network | 180 |
The NBA’s data lists the local broadcast as “DAZN (YES)”, and no Nets game in this stretch is on national TV, so a bar has to carry YES Network or the DAZN feed. That is the question to ask when you call.
No Nets bar list, one Knicks bar
We looked for an official Nets bar program on the team’s site on September 22, 2026 and found none: the likely pages return “not found”, and the fan menu has no bar link. The Nets’ game day guide covers food inside Barclays Center, not bars outside it.
The Knicks do run one, the Knicks Tap Takeovers presented by Michelob ULTRA, and it names a single Brooklyn bar: The Kettle Black at 8622 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge. The bar’s own site calls it a sports bar and restaurant without naming the Knicks, and the team page says only “this season”, so call ahead.
Brooklyn bars that name the NBA on their own sites
These are the Brooklyn bars whose own websites say they show basketball, the NBA, the Nets or the Knicks. Walks are from our Park Slope door, for the bars close enough to walk to; the rest are listed by neighborhood.
| Bar | Where | What its own site says | Published hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Uncle Barry’s, 58 5th Ave | By the arena; 5 minutes from us | Shows “NFL, MLB, and NBA games throughout the season on multiple TVs and a projector screen”; names the Knicks and Nets | Mon to Thu 3:00 PM to 2:00 AM; Fri 3:00 PM to 4:00 AM; Sat 2:00 PM to 4:00 AM; Sun listed two ways, noon or 3:00 PM, to 2:00 AM |
| The LayUp Bar, 47 5th Ave | By the arena; 6 minutes from us | “Join us for major Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, New York Knicks” and other events | Mon to Fri 4:00 PM to midnight; Sat and Sun noon to midnight (read October 13, 2026) |
| Dave and Buster’s, 625 Atlantic Ave, Suite 311 | Atlantic Terminal; 11 minutes from us | Screens for “football, soccer, basketball, hockey”; no team named | Mon and Tue 11:00 AM to midnight; Wed to Fri 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM; Sat 10:00 AM to 1:00 AM; Sun 10:00 AM to midnight |
| The Dram Shop, 339 9th St | Park Slope; 19 minutes from us | “8 TVs, Big Screen Projector”; lists MSG and NBA TV among its channels and tags the Nets | Mon to Thu 11:00 AM to midnight; Fri and Sat to 1:00 AM; Sun to midnight |
| Rounders, 999 Manhattan Ave | Greenpoint | “The package for every major sport including NFL, NBA, WNBA”; no table reservations for games | Mon 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM; Tue to Fri 1:00 PM to 2:00 AM; Sat and Sun noon to 2:00 AM |
| Kent Ale House, 51 Kent Ave | Williamsburg | Lists basketball and the NBA among its sports; 12 flat-screen TVs | Mon to Thu 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM; Fri noon to 3:00 AM; Sat 9:00 AM to 3:00 AM; Sun 9:00 AM to midnight |
| Kilo Bravo, 180 N 10th St | Williamsburg | “Complete with 3 large TV’s, we regularly show NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB” | Noon to 2:00 AM daily, on its contact page |
Two cautions. Kent Ale House’s about page still mentions a soccer tournament that ended in 2017, so treat its copy as old. And Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg ran official Knicks watch parties during the June 2026 playoffs, but lists no regular-season games yet.
The LayUp Bar, 47 5th Avenue. Its own site names the Nets and the Knicks, and it is two minutes from the arena.
- Best for a Nets road game with a crowd that came for the Nets.
- Skip if the game starts before 4:00 PM on a weekday; that is when it opens Monday to Friday.
The arena blocks on a road-game night
On home nights, the bars at the top of 5th Avenue are the closest rooms to the arena doors, so expect ticket holders before tip-off. Road nights are the easier time to watch there without a ticket. Uncle Barry’s and The LayUp are two minutes from the arena on foot, and our Park Slope room is eight, so a road game lets you pick on food and noise rather than on the doors at Barclays.
Knicks fans in Brooklyn
Plenty of Brooklyn watches the Knicks. The Knicks hosted the 76ers on opening night, Tuesday, October 20, on NBC and Peacock, and the two New York teams meet four times: Monday, November 2 and Sunday, December 27 at Madison Square Garden, and Monday, February 1 and Friday, April 2 at Barclays Center. Uncle Barry’s and The LayUp both name the Knicks on their sites, and The Kettle Black in Bay Ridge is on the Knicks’ own list. For Knicks nights in Manhattan, see where to watch the Knicks in the West Village.
Basketball at our Park Slope room
The Beer Garage does not claim a team and has never published a screen count; our website promises a full sports line-up. What we can put numbers on is the night: the kitchen, the walk and the closing time.
The Beer Garage Park Slope, 148 5th Avenue, entrance on Douglass Street. Monday to Thursday 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM ET, Friday 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Saturday 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Sunday 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A 100 per cent gluten-free kitchen: wings $14, fried pickles $13, chicken nachos $21, the burger $24, per the posted menu in September 2026.
- Best for a 7:30 PM ET tip-off with dinner, and every weekend Nets game in the table above.
- Also good for home nights: eight minutes to the arena on foot, so eat here and walk up.
- Skip if the tip-off is 8:00 PM ET or later on a weeknight; we close at 10:00 PM Monday to Thursday.
- Possible downside no screen count and no team claim. Call 718-576-3409 and ask whether YES Network will be on.

Every bar on this page requires valid ID showing you are 21 or older. An 8:00 PM tip-off on a weeknight ends late, so plan the ride before the fourth quarter.
Which Brooklyn bar for your game?
Two questions, sixteen answers, and more than half of them are somebody else’s bar.
1. Whose game?
2. What matters most?

Uncle Barry’s, 58 5th Avenue, open until 2:00 AM on weeknights and 4:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, with a projector screen.
Rounders, 999 Manhattan Avenue, Greenpoint. It says it carries the package for every major sport, the NBA included. It does not take table reservations for games.
The Beer Garage Park Slope, 148 5th Avenue. A 100 per cent gluten-free kitchen, eight minutes from the arena. A 7:30 PM ET tip leaves 150 minutes before a weeknight close; call 718-576-3409 and ask for YES Network.
Uncle Barry’s or The LayUp Bar. Both name the Knicks on their own sites, two minutes from Barclays Center.
Uncle Barry’s, 58 5th Avenue, open until 2:00 AM or later every night it lists.
Rounders, Greenpoint, which is taking pre-orders for a shirt about watching the Knicks win the title there. Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg hosted Knicks playoff watch parties in June 2026.
The Beer Garage Park Slope, 148 5th Avenue. Our gluten-free kitchen. Knicks games are mostly on MSG Network; ask for it when you call 718-576-3409.
Dave and Buster’s, 625 Atlantic Avenue. A chain-wide promise of basketball on its screens; ask for your game by channel. Eleven minutes from our door.
Kent Ale House, 51 Kent Avenue, Williamsburg, open until 2:00 AM on weeknights and 3:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, with 12 TVs.
Kilo Bravo, 180 North 10th Street. Three large TVs and a promise to show the NBA regularly.
The Beer Garage Park Slope, 148 5th Avenue. The only kitchen on this page we can vouch for as gluten-free, because it is ours.
Uncle Barry’s, 58 5th Avenue, two minutes from the arena, with a projector screen. Further into Park Slope, The Dram Shop lists eight TVs, a big-screen projector and NBA TV.
Uncle Barry’s, until 4:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, for a late West Coast game.
Kent Ale House or Rounders. Both list the NBA and stay open past midnight.
The Beer Garage Park Slope, 148 5th Avenue. Gluten-free wings and a burger; check the tip-off against our 10:00 PM weeknight close.
Use the tables above: The LayUp Bar and Uncle Barry’s by Barclays Center name the Nets and Knicks; The Dram Shop, Rounders, Kent Ale House, Kilo Bravo and Dave and Buster’s name the NBA or basketball on their own sites.
How we checked
On September 22, 2026 we looked for an official Nets bar program on the team’s website, read the Knicks’ Tap Takeovers page, and read the websites of more than twenty Brooklyn bars for basketball, the NBA, the Nets or the Knicks. We quote only what each bar publishes; bars whose sites were down or did not mention basketball are left out.
Tip-off times and channels come from the NBA’s schedule data, converted from UTC to Eastern Time. Walks from 148 5th Avenue were measured in Google Maps walking mode the same day; walks from the arena come from our Barclays Center guide, measured September 14, 2026. We did not visit the other bars, and nothing here is a ranking.
Eight minutes from the arena, gluten-free all night
The Beer Garage Park Slope, 148 5th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217, entrance on Douglass Street.
Our Manhattan room is at 118 Christopher Street in the West Village, 646-490-4301; its kitchen is standard.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I watch NBA games in Brooklyn?
Near Barclays Center, The LayUp Bar at 47 5th Avenue names the Nets and Knicks on its site, and Uncle Barry’s at 58 5th Avenue shows NBA games on several TVs and a projector. The Dram Shop in Park Slope, Rounders in Greenpoint, and Kent Ale House and Kilo Bravo in Williamsburg also say they show the NBA. The Beer Garage in Park Slope has a 100 per cent gluten-free kitchen.
Do the Brooklyn Nets have official bars?
We found no official Nets bar program on the team’s website on September 22, 2026. The Knicks run Tap Takeovers, presented by Michelob ULTRA, which lists one Brooklyn bar, The Kettle Black at 8622 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge.
When was the Nets’ home opener in 2026?
Wednesday, October 21, 2026, against the Charlotte Hornets at Barclays Center, on YES Network. The Hornets won 110-103, per the NBA’s schedule data. The Nets play the Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Monday, November 2, and at Barclays Center on Monday, February 1 and Friday, April 2.
What channel are Nets games on?
Every Nets game from October 24 to November 14, 2026 is on the local broadcast, listed in the NBA’s data as DAZN (YES), with no national TV games in that stretch. When you call a bar, ask whether it carries YES Network.
Is The Beer Garage in Park Slope good for watching the Nets?
For a 7:30 PM ET tip-off with dinner, yes: it is eight minutes from Barclays Center on foot, the kitchen is 100 per cent gluten-free, and a weeknight 7:30 PM game leaves 150 minutes before our 10:00 PM close. It does not publish a screen count or claim a team, and an 8:00 PM ET weeknight tip-off is too late for the full game.
The verdict
To watch NBA in Brooklyn without a team list to lean on, go where the bars have said it themselves. For the Nets, The LayUp and Uncle Barry’s at the arena end of 5th Avenue; for a big screen in Park Slope, The Dram Shop; in North Brooklyn, Rounders or Kent Ale House.
If the night is a 7:30 PM tip with a real dinner, and especially if someone at the table eats gluten-free, our Park Slope room is eight minutes from the arena and built for exactly that. Just check the tip-off time first.
