An oyster happy hour in Park Slope is easy to find and easy to miss. Easy to find, because four bars on and around 5th and 7th Avenues print a $1.50 oyster somewhere on their own pages. Easy to miss, because no two of them run it on the same days, one runs it only on Mondays, and the most-shared lists online still send people to rooms that have closed.

So on October 7, 2026 we read the happy-hour menus, posters and raw-bar pages of each place ourselves, including the ones that only exist as an image on a website, and wrote down the price, the hours, the oyster, the limits and the regular price for comparison. Walks are timed from our Park Slope bar at 148 5th Avenue. For every other kind of drink deal in the neighborhood, see our wider guide to happy hour in Park Slope.

Short answer

Four Park Slope bars print $1.50 oysters on their own pages. The Beer Garage at 148 5th Avenue does it Monday to Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, clams included. 390 Social at 390 5th Avenue does it Tuesday to Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and Friday and Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, at $1.55 by card. Siren at 687 5th Avenue does it Tuesday to Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and Friday to Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, at the bar and lounge only, up to two dozen each. Bar Louise at 221 7th Avenue does it on Mondays.

In Boerum Hill, Grand Army at 336 State Street sells a happy-hour half dozen for $13. LoFi Bar at 341 2nd Street serves Wellfleet oysters Thursday to Saturday, but at full price: three for $12. At full price, a dozen costs $42 to $51 at the bars that print a per-oyster price.

Oysters are gluten-free; the extras are where to look

A raw oyster contains no gluten, but what comes with it can: crackers, a malt-vinegar mignonette, a breaded side. In our Park Slope kitchen that question does not come up, because the whole menu is printed under the words “100% gluten-free”, sauces and sides included.

That is a Park Slope fact only; our West Village bar runs a standard kitchen. Of the other bars on this page, Grand Army prints an allergen key that marks its happy-hour oysters for allium, not gluten, and Siren notes gluten-free pasta options. We have not checked how the other kitchens make their mignonette, so ask before you dip.

Oyster happy hour in Park Slope, day by day

The deals do not overlap neatly, so here they are by day. Every bar below prints its own times; where a bar contradicts itself, we say so underneath.

Where a discounted oyster is printed in and near Park Slope on each day of the week, from each bar’s own pages, read October 7, 2026. All times Eastern.

Read across, the pattern is simple. Monday belongs to us and Bar Louise. Tuesday to Thursday has the most choice, and ours starts two hours before anyone else’s. From Friday to Sunday our discount is off, and 390 Social, Siren and Grand Army carry the weekend.

What a dozen costs, cheap hour and full price

A discount only means something next to the price it discounts, so this table prints both. The dozen column is our arithmetic from each bar’s own figures.

Happy-hour and regular oyster prices from each bar’s own menus, read October 7, 2026, with walks from 148 5th Avenue timed in Google Maps walking mode the same day. A dozen at happy hour is twelve times the printed price.
Bar Happy hour Regular price A dozen: cheap hour / full
The Beer Garage, 148 5th Ave; you are here $1.50 oysters and clams, Monday to Thursday, 3:00 to 7:00 PM $4 each, fresh clams or oysters, six minimum $18 / $48
390 Social, 390 5th Ave; 14 minutes, 0.6 mile “Bar Crudo Oysters, NJ”, $1.50 cash or $1.55 card, by the piece $3.50 cash or $3.65 card, rotating selection, house mignonette $18 / $42 cash
Siren, 687 5th Ave, South Slope; 32 minutes, 1.4 miles $1.50 East Coast oysters and little neck clams, limit two dozen a guest, bar and lounge only $3.75 to $4.25 each for five named oysters; little necks $2.50; chef’s selection $24 a half dozen, $45 a dozen $18 / $45
Bar Louise, 221 7th Ave; 19 minutes, 0.8 mile $1.50 oysters on Mondays Not printed; oysters are not on its online bites menu $18 on a Monday / not printed
Grand Army, 336 State St, Boerum Hill; 24 minutes, 1 mile $13 for a half dozen select East Coast oysters “Market price”; towers of 8 oysters with shrimp from $65 $26 / not printed
LoFi Bar, 341 2nd St; 10 minutes, 0.4 mile No oyster discount; its happy hour is $1 off drinks to 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday Wellfleet oysters, Thursday to Saturday: 3 for $12, 6 for $24, 12 for $45 none / $45

All four $1.50 deals come to $18 a dozen, or $18.60 by card at 390 Social, so the choice between them is about the day, the hour and the oyster rather than the money. The full-price column tells you what the discount is worth: $30 a dozen at our bar, $27 against Siren’s chef’s dozen, $24 at 390 Social by cash.

The fine print on each deal

Siren. The happy-hour menu limits the $1.50 oysters to two dozen per guest and to the bar and lounge, so a table in the dining room pays full price. Its website lists Tuesday to Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and Friday to Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, and says the restaurant is closed on Mondays; the PDF happy-hour menu says Monday to Thursday and adds a late-night Thursday from 9:00 PM to close. Treat the PDF’s Monday and late-night lines as unconfirmed and call 347-689-4577 first. The oysters come from Fulton Fish Market in the Bronx, by its menu, and arrive with cocktail sauce, fresh horseradish, a tequila mignonette and cucumber salad.

390 Social. Every price on its menu has two numbers: cash or debit on the left, card on the right, 3% higher. The happy-hour oyster is named on the menu as “Bar Crudo Oysters, NJ”, described as a balance of brine and sweetness. Its hours list no Monday and its happy hour no Saturday.

Bar Louise. The $1.50 oyster is a Monday special on its happy-hour poster, and the Monday happy hour runs unusually late, to 11:00 PM. At the weekend the deal flips: from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday, a house martini is $10 when you order oysters, at a price the website does not print.

Grand Army. The discount is sold by the half dozen, $13 for six, which works out at about $2.17 an oyster. Happy hour runs Monday to Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. One version of its happy-hour menu online is a screenshot from June 2025; the one on its dinner-menu page carries the same oyster line.

LoFi Bar. No discount on oysters, but the fullest description of them: Wellfleets from the cold tidal flats of Cape Cod Bay, with two wines picked to go with them.

Five names to cross off old oyster lists

Search for an oyster happy hour in Park Slope and the first results are guides from years ago. These are the names they send you to, checked on October 7, 2026.

Places named in older oyster happy-hour guides, checked October 7, 2026 on Google Maps and their own websites.
Name in old lists What we found
Bar Crudo, 412 5th Ave, Park Slope Listed as permanently closed; its old web address now opens the site of Bar Chuzo, a different restaurant at 9324 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge
Grand Central Oyster Bar Brooklyn, 5th Ave, Park Slope Listed as permanently closed
Littleneck, 288 3rd Ave, Gowanus Listed as permanently closed
Kittery, 305 Smith St, Carroll Gardens Listed as permanently closed
Bearded Lady, 686A Washington Ave, Prospect Heights Open, but its current menu lists no oysters; its weekday happy hour, 2:00 to 7:00 PM, is drinks and a nachos combo

None of this is a criticism of the old guides; bars close and menus change. It is the reason this page prints a read date on every price.

Our oysters, honestly

The Beer Garage Park Slope is a sports bar at 148 5th Avenue, entrance on Douglass Street, and our OpenTable listing prints the deal: happy hour Monday to Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, with $1.50 oysters and clams and $7 draft beer. Of the four $1.50 deals it starts earliest, at 3:00 PM, it covers clams as well as oysters, as Siren’s does, and the listing offers it as a bookable experience for 1 to 10 people. The rest of the time, our menu prices fresh clams and oysters at $4 each, with a minimum of six.

Three things we do not do, so you can plan around them. We have no oyster deal from Friday to Sunday. We do not print the variety or the farm of our Park Slope oysters, which LoFi, Siren and 390 Social all do in some form. And our happy hour stops at 7:00 PM, half an hour before Thursday’s free trivia starts at 7:30 PM, so a long Thursday is oysters first, trivia after, at full price.

What we do have is the kitchen. Every dish on the Park Slope menu is gluten-free, so a dozen oysters can turn into wings or nachos for the table without anyone checking a label. More on that in our guide to the sports bar with fully gluten-free food in Brooklyn, and on the rest of our menu in best bar snacks and wings in Park Slope.

Raw shellfish, and the drinks that come with it

Every bar on this page carries the standard warning: eating raw or undercooked shellfish may increase your risk of foodborne illness, more so if you are pregnant or have a weakened immune system. The bars also serve alcohol only to guests 21 and over with ID, and a cheap hour makes the second round easy. Drink water between pours and plan the trip home.

Before you go: five checks

The hours on a poster can lag the website. Siren’s PDF and its website disagree about Mondays and late-night Thursday; call before you rely on either.

Seats matter at Siren. The $1.50 price is for the bar and lounge only, with a limit of two dozen a guest.

Cash matters at 390 Social. Card prices are 3% higher, so the $1.50 oyster is $1.55 on a card.

Mondays are thin. 390 Social and Siren list no Monday hours, so Monday oysters means us or Bar Louise.

Oysters run out. None of the bars promises a fixed quantity, and Siren caps each guest at 24. Go early in the window, especially on a Friday.

How we checked

How we checked

On October 7, 2026 we read each bar’s own happy-hour page, poster, raw-bar menu and hours. Several printed their deals only as images or image-only PDFs, so we read those image by image. Where a bar’s pages disagree, we quote both. We checked the places named in older oyster guides on Google Maps and on their own websites the same day.

Walks were timed in Google Maps walking mode from 148 5th Avenue. Our own deal comes from our OpenTable listing and our regular price from our Park Slope menu. No bar paid to appear, we did not visit the others for this page, and a dozen at happy hour assumes the bar will sell you twelve.
