Four Manhattan bars put UFC in writing
Where to watch UFC in Manhattan comes down to two questions. Does the bar say on its own website that it shows the fights? And is it still open when a 9:00 PM ET main card ends? Four bars pass the first test, and one of them is open until 4:00 AM.
- 4 bars name UFC on their own sites
- UFC 334 at Madison Square Garden, November 14
- Latest published close: 4:00 AM
- Our room: 118 Christopher Street
- Our Manhattan kitchen is not gluten-free
Manhattan is where UFC comes to town. UFC 334 is at Madison Square Garden on November 14, and every other card this year plays on bar screens from Times Square to the Financial District.
The hard part is finding a bar that will actually have your card on. A bar needs a commercial license to show UFC, so this guide only calls a bar a UFC bar if it says so on its own website. Everyone else is marked “call ahead”, ours included.
The guide is sorted by neighborhood: Midtown near the Garden, Gramercy, the Financial District and the Village. It is the Manhattan part of our citywide guide to where to watch UFC in New York. For our own room near Christopher Street, see where to watch UFC in the West Village.
To watch UFC in Manhattan at a bar that names UFC on its own website, try Clinton Hall at 16 West 36th Street or Dave and Buster’s at 234 West 42nd Street in Midtown, Playwright Celtic Pub at 732 8th Avenue, open until 4:00 AM, or Clara’s at 393 Second Avenue in Gramercy. The Beer Garage at 118 Christopher Street suits afternoon cards and prelims. Call ahead and name the card.
Our Manhattan room at 118 Christopher Street cooks in a standard kitchen and makes no gluten-free claim. The Beer Garage kitchen that is 100 per cent gluten-free is our Brooklyn room, at 148 5th Avenue in Park Slope. If gluten matters to you, ask each bar about its kitchen, and remember that most beer is brewed with gluten grains. People with celiac disease should talk to staff and decide for themselves; this is not medical advice.
The short version
Where you should watch UFC in Manhattan depends on when the main card starts and which part of the island you are in.
Afternoon cards (UFC 333 on October 24, and the Fight Nights on November 7 and November 21): almost any room works, ours included. 8:00 PM ET main cards: pick a bar that names UFC; Clinton Hall and Dave and Buster’s both take bookings. 9:00 PM ET numbered cards (UFC 334 and UFC 335): pick a bar that stays open, such as Playwright Celtic Pub, open until 4:00 AM, Clara’s in Gramercy, open until 2:00 AM, or Clinton Hall, open until 2:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. Any card: phone first and name the event.
Which Manhattan bars say they show UFC?
We read the websites of ten Manhattan bars between September 18 and 21, 2026, looking for the words UFC, MMA and fights. Four name UFC. One more listed a weekly MMA watch party when we first read it, since taken down. The rest say nothing about fights, which is not the same as not showing them.
| Bar | Neighborhood | What its own site says | Saturday close |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clinton Hall 36th Street, 16 W 36th St | Midtown | “The best place to watch UFC in NYC”; large screens, a sound system, reservations online | Not on its UFC page; its 36th Street location page publishes them, with a 2:00 AM close on Fridays and Saturdays |
| Playwright Celtic Pub, 732 8th Ave | Theater District | UFC among its sports, on “four floors of wall to wall HD TV screens” | 4:00 AM |
| Dave and Buster’s Times Square, 234 W 42nd St | Times Square | UFC fight viewing; a 40-foot screen with immersive audio; table bookings | 2:00 AM Friday and Saturday; 1:00 AM Wednesday and Thursday; midnight Sunday to Tuesday |
| Clara’s, 393 Second Ave | Gramercy | UFC among the sports it shows | 2:00 AM |
| Continental Sports Lounge, 82 Beaver St | Financial District | Takes table reservations; no UFC or MMA event on its events page as of September 25, 2026 | 12:00 AM |
| The Beer Garage, 118 Christopher St | West Village | A full sports line-up; UFC not named | 12:00 AM on our website; 2:00 AM on Google |
Three things the table does not tell you. None of these bars publishes a cover price for UFC nights in Manhattan, so ask when you call. Clinton Hall, Dave and Buster’s and Continental Sports Lounge take bookings online; we do not. And the other two Playwright bars, on West 35th and West 49th Streets, do not mention UFC on their own sites, although a third-party guide says they show it.
Midtown, near the Garden and Times Square
Midtown is where to watch UFC in Manhattan if you want the most choice. Three of the four bars that name UFC are here, north of Madison Square Garden, between Herald Square and the Theater District.
Clinton Hall 36th Street, 16 West 36th Street. It has a UFC page for this location on its own site. It promises large screens, a sound system, 20 craft beers on tap and reservations online. It does not list which cards it is showing or a cover; its hours are on its 36th Street location page, with a 2:00 AM close on Fridays and Saturdays.
- Best for a group that wants a booked table for a numbered card.
- Skip if you want a room that names the card it is showing; its UFC page does not, though its 36th Street page gives a 2:00 AM close on Fridays and Saturdays.
Playwright Celtic Pub, 732 8th Avenue. Its own site lists UFC with soccer, football, baseball, basketball and hockey on “four floors of wall to wall HD TV screens”. It publishes hours of 10:00 AM to 4:00 AM every day.
- Best for a 9:00 PM ET main card you plan to see to the end. No bar in this guide that names UFC closes later.
- Skip if you need a promise about one particular card; the site names the sport, not the schedule.
Dave and Buster’s Times Square, 234 West 42nd Street. Its location page mentions UFC fight viewing and a 40-foot screen with immersive audio, and it takes table and event bookings. It is an arcade as well as a bar. Its location page lists hours once it loads: 10:00 AM to midnight on Sundays, 11:00 AM to midnight on Mondays and Tuesdays, 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM on Fridays and 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM on Saturdays.
- Best for a big group, or friends who want something to do between rounds.
- Skip if you want a neighborhood pub; this is a chain venue in the middle of Times Square.
Two more Midtown rooms turn up in fight-night lists. Playwright Irish Pub at 27 West 35th Street advertises “dozens of high definition flat screen televisions”, and Playwright Tavern at 202 West 49th Street is open until 4:00 AM. Neither names UFC on its own site, so treat them as a phone call, not a sure thing.
Gramercy and the East Side
On the East Side, Clara’s at 393 Second Avenue in Gramercy lists UFC among the sports it shows. It publishes hours of 3:00 PM to 2:00 AM Monday to Friday and 12:00 PM to 2:00 AM on weekends.
It shares a website with Clara’s in Bushwick, which publishes 14 TVs and a projector. The Gramercy listing says only “full bar” and “sports viewing”, so do not expect the Brooklyn screen count. If you want to watch UFC in Manhattan past midnight on the East Side, it is the room with a published 2:00 AM close.
The Financial District
Downtown, Continental Sports Lounge at 82 Beaver Street listed a Dana White’s Contender Series watch party on Tuesdays when we first read its events page on September 21, 2026. By September 25 the events page showed no MMA or UFC event, only happy hour, Taco Tuesdays and an NFL Bills takeover, so call before you go. The Contender Series is the prospect show whose winners earn UFC contracts; it is not a UFC card.
Its site does not say it shows the Saturday cards, so ask. It publishes hours of 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM Sunday to Wednesday and 11:00 AM to midnight Thursday to Saturday, and it takes table reservations online.
The Village
Nobody in the Village puts UFC in writing. We checked The Beer Garage, Down the Hatch at 179 West 4th Street and Houston Hall at 222 West Houston Street, and none of their sites mentions UFC.
Down the Hatch publishes a 4:00 AM close every night, which matters for a late main event. The card-by-card picture for the neighborhood is in where to watch UFC in the West Village.
What time do the rest of the 2026 cards start?
UFC.com listed eight more events for 2026 when we reread it on October 6, 2026. Grouped by main card start in Eastern Time, they fall into five slots. The slot decides where to watch UFC in Manhattan more than the bar does.
| Main card (ET) | Cards | Minutes to our midnight close |
|---|---|---|
| 1:00 PM | Fight Night on November 21 (Doha) | 660 |
| 2:00 PM | UFC 333, Abu Dhabi, October 24 | 600 |
| 5:00 PM | Fight Night on November 7 (Las Vegas) | 420 |
| 8:00 PM | Fight Nights on October 10, October 17 and October 31 | 240 |
| 9:00 PM | UFC 334 on November 14 (Madison Square Garden) and UFC 335 on December 12 | 180 |
Our Google listing shows a 2:00 AM Saturday close, which would add 120 minutes to every row; until the two agree, we plan around midnight. The Doha card, Prochazka vs Stirling on November 21, moved to a 1:00 PM ET main card when we reread UFC.com on October 6, 2026.
UFC 334 at Madison Square Garden, without a ticket
UFC 334 is the only card in New York this year. UFC.com lists early prelims at 5:00 PM ET, prelims at 7:00 PM ET and the main card at 9:00 PM ET on Saturday, November 14, 2026. UFC.com listed Gane vs Hokit as the headliner when we reread it on September 25, 2026.
If you want to watch UFC in Manhattan that night without a ticket, plan for bars near the Garden to be busy. Three things help:
- Book a table at Clinton Hall or Dave and Buster’s as soon as you can.
- Pick a room with a late published close, such as Playwright Celtic Pub.
- Eat before the main card, not during it.
From the West Village, the 1 train runs from Christopher St-Stonewall to 34 St-Penn Station, underneath the Garden.
UFC at The Beer Garage West Village
Our Manhattan room is The Beer Garage at 118 Christopher Street: a narrow brick room with a blue lit bar, 37 beer and cider lines and a heated backyard garden. We do not name UFC on our website, and this guide holds us to the same test as everyone else.
The Beer Garage, 118 Christopher Street. Saturday 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM on our website; 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM on our Google listing. Wings at $14, most beers at $10.
- Best for UFC 333 on October 24, the November 7 and November 21 Fight Nights, and prelims on any Saturday.
- Skip if you want a 9:00 PM ET main card with a written promise that it will be on, or a gluten-free kitchen, which is at our Brooklyn room.
- Possible downside a small room with no booking link and no published screen count. Groups of more than four should call 646-490-4301 first.

Every bar in this guide has to see valid ID showing you are 21 or over before it serves alcohol; that rule comes from the New York State Liquor Authority. A 9:00 PM ET main card ends late, so sort out the ride home before the walkouts.
Which Manhattan bar for your card?
Two questions and sixteen answers for where to watch UFC in Manhattan. Most of them send you somewhere other than here.
1. What are you watching?
2. Where are you, or what matters most?
Clinton Hall, 16 West 36th Street. It names UFC and takes reservations online, and an afternoon card is the easiest night to get a table. Dave and Buster’s at 234 West 42nd Street takes bookings too.
Clara’s, 393 Second Avenue. It lists UFC and opens at 12:00 PM on weekends, which covers every afternoon main card left this year.
The Beer Garage, 118 Christopher Street. We open at 12:00 PM on Saturdays per our website, and an afternoon main card is over hours before we close. Call 646-490-4301 and name the card.
You do not need a late bar for an afternoon card. Pick the room nearest you and phone ahead.
Clinton Hall, booked in advance, or Playwright Celtic Pub. Clinton Hall at 16 West 36th Street names UFC and takes reservations. Playwright Celtic Pub at 732 8th Avenue names UFC and is open until 4:00 AM.
Clara’s, 393 Second Avenue. It lists UFC and publishes a 2:00 AM close, 360 minutes after an 8:00 PM ET main card.
The Beer Garage, 118 Christopher Street. An 8:00 PM ET main card leaves 240 minutes before the midnight close on our website, which covers most of a card. Call 646-490-4301 and name the card.
Playwright Celtic Pub, 732 8th Avenue. Its own site says it is open every day until 4:00 AM and lists UFC among its sports.
Playwright Celtic Pub, or a booked table at Clinton Hall. Playwright Celtic Pub has the latest published close of the bars that name UFC. For UFC 334, book as early as you can.
Clara’s, 393 Second Avenue. Its 2:00 AM close leaves 300 minutes after a 9:00 PM ET main card.
Prelims downtown, main card elsewhere. Our room closes at midnight per our website, 180 minutes after a 9:00 PM ET start. Down the Hatch at 179 West 4th Street is open until 4:00 AM; phone it and ask whether the card is on.
Playwright Celtic Pub, 732 8th Avenue. Open until 4:00 AM, the latest close among the Manhattan bars that name UFC on their own sites.
Any of the three Midtown bars that name UFC. Most prelims start between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM ET, so the hours are not the problem; getting a seat is.
Clara’s, 393 Second Avenue. It opens at 12:00 PM on weekends, in time for most prelims.
The Beer Garage, 118 Christopher Street. Prelims are the part of fight night our hours suit best. We open at 12:00 PM on Saturdays per our website. Call 646-490-4301 and name the card.
For prelims, closing time does not matter. If you plan to stay for the main card, start somewhere that stays open late, such as Playwright Celtic Pub.
Use the tables above: Clinton Hall, Playwright Celtic Pub, Dave and Buster’s and Clara’s name UFC on their own sites, and The Beer Garage suits afternoon cards and prelims.
How we know this
The card list and start times on this page about where to watch UFC in Manhattan come from the event listings on UFC.com, read on September 21, 2026 and again on October 6, 2026. UFC.com shows times in the reader’s own timezone, so we read each listing’s timestamp and converted it to Eastern Time. UFC does not publish when a main event starts or ends, so the minutes column is subtraction between two published times.
Clinton Hall, Playwright Celtic Pub, Playwright Tavern, Playwright Irish Pub, Dave and Buster’s Times Square and Continental Sports Lounge were read on their own websites on September 21, 2026, and Clinton Hall, Dave and Buster’s and Continental Sports Lounge again on September 25, 2026, when their hours and the Continental events note were corrected. Clara’s, Houston Hall, Down the Hatch and our own footer hours were read on September 18, 2026. Our West Village menu prices were read on September 16, 2026. We visited no competitor for this page, and no rating of ours is implied.
Prelims on Christopher Street
The Beer Garage, 118 Christopher Street, New York, NY 10014, between Bleecker and Bedford. Three minutes on foot from the Christopher St-Stonewall 1 train.
Groups of more than four, please call ahead. Private parties and watch parties: BeerGarageBK@gmail.com.
