they share one corner of 5th Avenue. Here is everyone else, labeled honestly.

We read six Park Slope menus and sorted them by what they actually promise: a kitchen with no gluten in it, a menu that marks gluten-free dishes, or a menu that says nothing. One of the two dedicated kitchens is ours and the other is our sister restaurant, so we say that up front.

Six Park Slope menus read October 7, 2026

Dedicated kitchens and GF labels kept apart

Our own ties disclosed in the first paragraph

Walks timed from 148 5th Avenue

100% gluten-free kitchen in Park Slope

Marina Charny, Owner, The Beer Garage
Published October 7, 2026 · Facts verified October 7, 2026

If you are looking for a gluten-free restaurant in Park Slope, start with a disclosure. The neighborhood’s fully gluten-free sit-down restaurant is WILD Park Slope, at 148 5th Avenue with its entrance on 5th Avenue, and it is our sister restaurant: our homepage calls it that, its website calls The Beer Garage its sister bar, and the two share a building. Our own Park Slope bar, around the corner on Douglass Street, runs a menu that is gluten-free from top to bottom too.

That makes us the least neutral writers on the subject, so this page sticks to what each menu prints. On October 7, 2026 we read the menus of six Park Slope restaurants and bars and sorted them into three groups: kitchens that state they are 100% gluten-free, menus that mark individual dishes gluten-free, and menus that say nothing either way. Walks are timed from our door at 148 5th Avenue.

On this page

The short answer

Three kinds of gluten-free on a Park Slope menu

What six menus print

WILD Park Slope, the dedicated Italian kitchen

The Beer Garage, the gluten-free bar menu

Restaurants that label gluten-free dishes

When the menu says nothing

Which kitchen for which meal

Before you order: five questions

Find your table

How we checked

Frequently asked questions

The verdict

Sources and references

Short answer

The gluten-free restaurant in Park Slope is WILD Park Slope at 148 5th Avenue: its dinner menu is headed “100% gluten-free”, with pizza on a gluten-free crust from $20, pastas from $20, a raw bar and weekend brunch, open from 2:00 PM on weekdays and 11:00 AM at the weekend. It is our sister restaurant. The Beer Garage, on the Douglass Street side of the same building, serves a bar menu that is also entirely gluten-free: wings, burgers, pizza and oysters.

Elsewhere you get labels rather than dedicated kitchens. Bogota Latin Bistro, across 5th Avenue, marks most of its Colombian menu GF. Da Nonna Rosa on 7th Avenue prints a gluten-free pizza at $19 and gluten-free pasta for $3 extra. Burger Village, also on 7th Avenue, offers a gluten-free bun for $2. None of those three says on its own pages that its kitchen or fryer is separate.

A label is a promise about a dish, not about a kitchen

A dish marked GF tells you its ingredients contain no gluten. It does not tell you whether it was fried in the same oil as the calamari, rolled out on the same counter as the bread, or tossed in the same pan as the pasta. For someone avoiding gluten by choice, a label is usually enough. For someone with celiac disease, the kitchen matters as much as the recipe.

That is why this page keeps the two apart. Where a restaurant states that its whole kitchen is gluten-free, we say so and quote it. Where a menu only marks dishes, we list what it marks and what else that kitchen cooks, and we leave the fryer question to you and the server.

Three kinds of gluten-free on a Park Slope menu

Dedicated. The whole menu is gluten-free, so nothing with wheat comes through the kitchen. In Park Slope we found two, both at 148 5th Avenue: WILD and The Beer Garage.

Labeled. The menu marks individual dishes as gluten-free, and the rest of the menu carries wheat. Bogota Latin Bistro, Da Nonna Rosa and Burger Village fall here, each in a different way.

Unlabeled. The menu prints no gluten-free marks at all. That is not the same as no gluten-free food; it means you have to ask. Al Di La Trattoria on 5th Avenue is the example we checked.

Gluten-free restaurant in Park Slope: what six menus print

Each row quotes the restaurant’s own menu or website, read on October 7, 2026. “Kitchen, as stated” only reports what the place says about itself; where it says nothing, the cell says so.

Gluten-free claims on six Park Slope menus and websites, read October 7, 2026, with walks from 148 5th Avenue timed in Google Maps walking mode the same day.

Restaurant

What the menu prints

Kitchen, as stated

Hours, as printed

WILD Park Slope, 148 5th Ave, entrance on 5th Ave; same building as us

Dinner menu headed “100% gluten-free”; pizza on a gluten-free crust from $20, pastas $20 to $36, raw bar, gluten-free breads

Dedicated: “the only 100% gluten-free Italian restaurant in all of Brooklyn”, in its own words

Monday to Friday 2:00 to 10:00 PM; Saturday and Sunday 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM

The Beer Garage, 148 5th Ave, entrance on Douglass St; you are here

Menu headed “100% gluten-free”; wings, burgers, mac and cheese, pizzas, oysters and clams

Dedicated, at Park Slope only; our West Village kitchen is standard

Monday to Thursday 3:00 to 10:00 PM; Friday 2:00 to 11:00 PM; Saturday 1:00 to 11:00 PM; Sunday 1:00 to 10:00 PM

Bogota Latin Bistro, 141 5th Ave; 1 minute, across the avenue

A GF badge on most of the menu: cornmeal empanadas, arepas, soups, platters, mains and most sides

Not stated; the same menu has wheat empanadas, flour quesadillas, battered calamari and coconut shrimp

Monday to Thursday 11:00 AM to midnight; Friday to 1:00 AM; Saturday 10:00 AM to 1:00 AM; Sunday 10:00 AM to midnight

Al Di La Trattoria, 248 5th Ave; 6 minutes, 0.3 mile

No gluten-free marks on its online menus

Not stated

Not checked for this page

Da Nonna Rosa, 140 7th Ave; 14 minutes, 0.6 mile

“GF – Gluten Free” legend; gluten-free pizzetta $19; gluten-free penne, spaghetti, zucchini noodles or gnocchi +$3; a grill section marked GF

Not stated; the same kitchen serves breaded clams, calamari fritti and fried ravioli

Not printed on the pages we read

Burger Village, 222 7th Ave; 18 minutes, 0.8 mile

Gluten-free bun $2 extra; a gluten-free veggie burger; every dipping sauce marked GF

Not stated; its homepage promises “safe, gluten and peanut-free bites”

Every day 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Two of the six are in the same building, and a third is across the avenue from it. If you are in Park Slope and need a gluten-free meal without a long walk, the corner of 5th Avenue and Douglass Street is where the choice is.

WILD Park Slope, the dedicated Italian kitchen

WILD Park Slope describes itself as a farm-to-table gluten-free pizza restaurant, and its dinner menu, a PDF posted in May 2026, is printed under the words “100% gluten-free”. Its website goes further and calls it the only 100% gluten-free Italian restaurant in all of Brooklyn; that is WILD’s claim, and we have not surveyed every kitchen in the borough to test it. It also says it is woman-founded and woman-owned.

The menu reads like a neighborhood Italian place. Pizzas come on what WILD calls its famous gluten-free crust, from a $20 margherita to a $28 prosciutto and burrata. Pastas run from $20 for penne pesto to $36 for spaghetti pescatore, with a $27 spaghetti and meatballs and a $29 rigatoni with braised short rib between. The bread basket is a $10 selection of gluten-free breads, the Caesar comes with gluten-free croutons, and the raw bar sells East Coast oysters and little neck clams at $20 a half dozen or $40 a dozen.

WILD is open from 2:00 PM on weekdays and from 11:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday, when brunch runs until 4:00 PM, and closes at 10:00 PM every night. Its website also mentions a daily happy hour with oysters but prints no prices for it. Book on OpenTable or Resy, or call 347-987-4525. Because it is our sister restaurant, read this section knowing who wrote it; every figure in it comes from the menu WILD publishes.

The Beer Garage, the gluten-free bar menu

On the Douglass Street side of the same building, The Beer Garage Park Slope is a sports bar, not a restaurant, but its menu is headed “100% gluten-free” as well. Our OpenTable listing describes buffalo wings, burgers, loaded mac and cheese and pizzas as celiac-safe, and the menu prices fresh oysters and clams at $4 each, with a minimum of six. From Monday to Thursday, 3:00 to 7:00 PM, happy hour brings those to $1.50, as our oyster happy hour in Park Slope guide sets out.

The honest limits: we close at 10:00 PM Sunday to Thursday and 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, we are a bar with the game on rather than a dining room, and most beer is brewed from barley, so the food is gluten-free and the taps mostly are not. Our West Village bar on Christopher Street runs a standard kitchen. For the full picture of the sports side, see our guide to the sports bar with fully gluten-free food in Brooklyn; for drinks, our gluten-free beer and cider bar NYC list.

Restaurants that label gluten-free dishes

Bogota Latin Bistro, 141 5th Avenue. The most thoroughly labeled menu we read. Its legend marks dishes V, VG, GF and N, and the GF badge covers the cornmeal empanadas, all four arepas, the three soups, the bandeja platters with pork loin or skirt steak, arroz con pollo, the oxtail stew and nearly every main and side, French fries included. The same menu also lists wheat-dough empanadas, flour quesadillas, battered calamari, coconut shrimp and fish tacos on flour tortillas, and it notes that it makes no alterations or substitutions. It does not say whether the fries share a fryer with the calamari; ask before you order them.

Da Nonna Rosa, 140 7th Avenue. A Southern Italian restaurant and pizzeria whose menu carries a “GF – Gluten Free” legend. It prints a gluten-free pizzetta at $19 next to a cauliflower one at $18, gluten-free penne, spaghetti, zucchini noodles or gnocchi for $3 more, naked wings, a caprese and a cold antipasto marked GF, and a grill section where the lamb chops, sausage, salmon, octopus, veal and shrimp all carry the badge. All its salads, it says, can be made gluten-free. The kitchen also turns out breaded baked clams, calamari fritti, mozzarella sticks and fried ravioli.

Burger Village, 222 7th Avenue. An organic burger restaurant whose homepage promises gluten- and peanut-free options. On the Park Slope menu that means a gluten-free bun for $2 extra on any burger, a gluten-free veggie burger, and a GF mark on every dipping sauce. A kitchen is called dedicated here only when the restaurant itself says its whole menu is gluten-free. Gluten-free labels are reported as printed; we did not test any dish, and a label is the restaurant’s claim, not ours. Some listing sites describe separate fryers at restaurants on this page; we left those out because the restaurants’ own pages do not say so.

WILD Park Slope is our sister restaurant and shares our building. We have described it from its own website and its printed menu, the same way as everyone else. Walks were timed in Google Maps walking mode from 148 5th Avenue. No restaurant paid to appear.

One corner, two gluten-free kitchens

The Beer Garage Park Slope, 148 5th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217, entrance on Douglass Street: a sports bar with a menu that is 100% gluten-free, open 3:00 to 10:00 PM Monday to Thursday, 2:00 to 11:00 PM Friday, 1:00 to 11:00 PM Saturday and 1:00 to 10:00 PM Sunday. WILD Park Slope at 148 5th Avenue prints its dinner menu under the words 100% gluten-free and serves pizza, pasta, a raw bar and weekend brunch. It is the sister restaurant of The Beer Garage, whose Park Slope bar menu in the same building is also entirely gluten-free.

Where can I get gluten-free pizza in Park Slope?

WILD Park Slope makes every pizza on a gluten-free crust, from a $20 margherita, in a fully gluten-free kitchen. Da Nonna Rosa at 140 7th Avenue prints a gluten-free pizzetta at $19 from a standard kitchen, and The Beer Garage serves pizza from its gluten-free bar menu.

Is The Beer Garage in Park Slope gluten-free?

The food is. The Park Slope menu is headed 100% gluten-free, from the wings to the oysters. Most beer on tap is brewed from barley, and the West Village location on Christopher Street runs a standard kitchen.

Which Park Slope restaurants label gluten-free dishes?

By their own menus, read October 7, 2026: Bogota Latin Bistro at 141 5th Avenue marks most of its menu GF, Da Nonna Rosa at 140 7th Avenue prints a GF legend with gluten-free pizza and pasta, and Burger Village at 222 7th Avenue offers a gluten-free bun and a gluten-free veggie burger.

Is a gluten-free label safe for celiac disease?

Not on its own. A label describes the ingredients of a dish, not the fryer, grill or pot it is cooked in. Of the menus we read, only WILD Park Slope and The Beer Garage state that their whole menu is gluten-free; elsewhere, tell the server it is medical and ask how the dish is prepared.

Where can I get gluten-free brunch in Park Slope?

WILD Park Slope serves brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM from its fully gluten-free kitchen. Bogota Latin Bistro also serves weekend brunch from 10:00 AM; we did not check that menu’s gluten-free labels.

The verdict

The gluten-free restaurant in Park Slope, in the strict sense, is WILD Park Slope at 148 5th Avenue, and we would say so even if it were not our sister restaurant, because it is the only restaurant on this list whose menu is gluten-free from top to bottom. Next door on Douglass Street, The Beer Garage does the same for bar food and the game.

Beyond that corner, Bogota Latin Bistro, Da Nonna Rosa and Burger Village label what they can, and they are good choices when one person in the group avoids gluten by choice. For celiac disease, start at the corner of 5th Avenue and Douglass Street, and everywhere else ask about the fryer.

Sources and references

WILD Park Slope: eatdrinkwildbk.com (address, hours, kitchen statement) and its dinner menu PDF, read October 7, 2026.

The Beer Garage: beergarageny.com, the Park Slope menu and our OpenTable listing, read October 7, 2026.

Bogota Latin Bistro all-day menu and hours, read October 7, 2026.

Da Nonna Rosa food menu, read October 7, 2026.

Burger Village Park Slope and its homepage, read October 7, 2026.

Al Di La Trattoria menus, read October 7, 2026.

Google Maps walking mode, from 148 5th Avenue to each restaurant, timed October 7, 2026.

Marina Charny
Owner, The Beer Garage (Park Slope and West Village)
This guide is for anyone in Park Slope who needs to know whether a gluten-free label means a dish or a whole kitchen, with our own ties to WILD stated plainly.
